The Department of Genetics was created in November 2002 through the merger of the existing Department of Human Genetics with the Department of Genomics and Pathobiology. The department is comprised of an interdisciplinary group of faculty focused on performing basic laboratory and clinical research; providing inpatient and outpatient consultation services; and offering state-of-the-art molecular diagnostic and cytogenetic testing.
