Clinic Overview

The general genetics clinic provides evaluation, counseling and ongoing management for children and adults with known or suspected genetic disorders.  Children seen in this clinic may have problems of growth or development, birth defects, and medical or health problems.  Adults seen in this clinic are often suspected of having inherited disorders such as Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Marfan syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, muscular dystrophy and other adult onset disorders.  Our goal is to determine the underlying reasons for the problems present in the individual, to communicate this information to the patient or family and to assist with ongoing management of these conditions.  This clinic is staffed by physicians, genetic counselors and nurses.
