Summer Intern Research Program in Genetics

Objective: The main objective of this program is to give current undergraduate students, interested in the possibility of pursuing studies towards a Ph.D. in Genetics, an opportunity to experience hands-on biomedical research. This program consists of a 10 week period, from June 1 through August 10, during which the student will perform biomedical research under the direction of faculty mentors active in diverse areas of genetics research.

In addition to research, the student will attend weekly classes that discuss scientific ethics, experimental methods, and how to apply to graduate school. At the end of the program, the student will be asked to present the results of a research project at a poster session for summer research interns..

Stipend: Each summer research intern will receive a stipend.

Who is eligible? Any student currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, with a minimum GPA of 3.0, can apply. Applicants, residents in the continental USA, should be considering the pursuit of a PhD.
